Lots to Blog About

1. Congrats to KOB and Bill T: Looked like an amazing wedding. So many smiles on so many faces.

2. Congrats to Allie and Brian on their engagement. Enjoy this time before you need to start planning! So happy for you both.

Steve and I just got back from a great weekend in Wine Country. Matt and Rob came down from Portland. We only get to see them a couple times each year due to the distance, but we always have such a blast. This weekend was no exception. Although, it did rain for about 90% of the weekend.

Friday night, we got it to the cottage (Buster came too), rested a bit then headed out to the Girl and the Fig, our favorite restaurant out there. I got snapper (yes, FISH AGAIN) and the rest of the boys got the steak. Great apps, cheese plate, wine, dessert. Then, we played catch phrase and some other games. BTW, Matt and Rob presented us with some awesome wedding presents on Friday:

Get this: they put a frame with a bunch of Sakonnet Vineyards (where we had our rehearsal dinner) corks in it. So thoughtful. And they put a picture of Steve and I from the big day in it. We cannot wait to find the perfect place for it. They also made a wedding album for us, and gave us LOADS of games that will definitely be used during future hangout sessions with them and others.

Sat: got backed goods at Basque, went wine tasting in Sonoma for a few hours, bought loads of wine, then bought stuff for dinner. M/R cooked an awesome dinner, even though my tummy was hurting (still is :(). Lots of games, early to bed.

Sun,: Back to Basque for brunch, then off to Napa, checked out downtown, shopped, etc. Then drove to Berkeley, shopped, had dinner, drove them to the airport.

It was a nice, stress-free weekend. Put some things into perspective too, ie: I have an amazing life with a great partner, awesome friends and a kick-ass dog.

I'll post more this week....
